I live blog my dates.
I fully support a woman’s right to choose. And I choose to watch Lifetime 24 hours per day.
On both TVs.
“Hey, keep your hands off my Transformers toy collection!”
When asked how my day was, I respond with, “Isn’t it about time you subscribed to my RSS feed?”
Fruit Loops for dinner – five nights a week!
I get a lot of headaches.
“Sure, I’ll stop blogging…when I stop breathing!”
My bed is only big enough for me and the dogs!
I think the perfect form of birth control is a vasectomy.

A Thanksgiving Post

I have so many things to be thankful for – family, friends, my dogs. But at the top of the list is Brico. He is the best boyfriend I’ve ever had or could ever imagine having. Sometimes I tell him that, and he can’t seem to understand what makes him so special. Here are a few of the many things that make him who he is – the man I love!

He calls me every night to say goodnight.
He hates Fox News, yet he turns it on every morning that we’re together – because he knows it’s my news station of choice.
He keeps me laughing.
He never misses a chance to tell me he loves me.
He is the most honest person I’ve ever met, and I know that I can completely trust him.
He completely trusts me, and that is the best feeling in the world!
He sends me sweet little text messages to let me know he’s thinking of me.
He is unbelievably handsome and sexy.
He mentions me on his blog frequently, and always in a nice context.
He inspires me to be a better person, because he deserves no less than the best!

Benjamin has sworn off blogging, but he did choose to participate in Brico’s Birthday Ten List project. Happy birthday to Brico from Ben!Top 10 Ways Brico’s Getting Better With Age:

10: His “When I was a kid” lectures to his daughter are getting that much more potent.

9: Thanks to the subtle effects of low-level light, fluctuations of temperature and humidity, and the degrading/fermentation of fruits and yeasts, Brico’s flavors and finish are maturing and developing. Seriously, he’s up to like $75/bottle.

8: He no longer wets the bed.

7: Involuntarily.

6: If he were 20 years younger Tish wouldn’t be allowed to date him by law.

5: Thanks to wisdom coming with age, Brico’s almost bright enough to avoid crowds of the ilk that subject you to gross ‘net harassment.

4: If he were 10 years younger Tish wouldn’t want to date him.

3: His continued steady progression through increasing years supports the generally-accepted model of space/time, keeping Einsteinian rules constant. And, seriously — who the fuck’d want to mess with that shit?

2: He’s that much easier to hunt.

1: At 11, bald was just fucking weird.

Inflating my car tires until they “look full” is not proper procedure.
Boating is an awesome pastime!
Being a vegetarian is not nearly as difficult as I had imagined it would be.
Gold colored decorative picture frames do not belong on my living room walls.
Jungle cat artwork does not belong on my dining room walls.
5 AM is not an acceptable time to be “in the mood.”
I can’t drown while wearing a life jacket.
Tubing causes bruising in the most unusual of places.
Having smelly, sweaty socks forced into your face is a sure sign of affection.
True love is worth all the time and frustration you went through to find it.

The sex change operation went remarkably well. None of my past boyfriends were any the wiser!

I organized a Neo-Confederate movement and vowed that the South would rise again!
I was once married – to David Koresh.
Sometimes I like to be the guy.

10 Surprises From My Weekend With Brico

There was an assortment of panties in various sizes (none of them mine) strewn across the apartment.
The magnetic letters on the refrigerator, previously displaying sweet messages to me, now said, “Don’t wait up for me.”
Also hanging on the fridge was a photo of me sitting on the can!
The kitchen sink was filled with dirty dishes. Written in the ketchup smeared across the bowl on top was “Wash Me.”
Um – who was that naked girl who just stepped out of the shower?
Damn! She used all the hot water!
Hey! There weren’t that many scratches on the bedpost the last time I was here!
Birth control? I thought you said you’d had a vasectomy!
During my first swim lesson, I encountered a very “warm” area of water. Oddly enough, it covered a two foot radius around Brico.
The biggest surprise of all was waiting in the bathroom. Let’s just say it wasn’t roses – nor did it smell like them!

When I mentioned to Brico that there’s a remote possibility that my favorite baseball player, Jarred Ball, may take a look at my blog, his response was this. “Tish, I need you to do me a favor. You remember that post you did entitled 10 Things I Love About Brico? I need you to put that on the very top of your blog – permanently.”

While at the Smokies game last night, I told Kevin about what Brico had said. We then put our heads together and speculated on just why Brico might be jealous of Jarred Ball. Behold, the fruits of our labor!

Jarred gets cheers when he hits balls. Brico gets an icepack and a limp when he hits balls.
Jarred lives in Texas, where real men live. Brico lives in South Carolina, where Mint Juleps live.
Street value of a Jarred Ball autograph: $50. Street value of a Brico autograph: You’re kidding, right?
Jarred hits home runs. Brico has yet to round 2nd Base.
Or maybe it’s 3rd. There was some drinking involved.
Actually, scratch that. Maybe these guys do have something in common.
Jarred was my fantasy until I met Brico, who has since become both my fantasy and my reality.

Maybe Brico isn’t the one who should be jealous.

My bedroom walls are adorned with pictures of unicorns.
I collect Beanie Babies, teddy bears, and other stuffed animals.
I enjoy watching animated biblical stories on TV.
I think Shaggy from Scooby Doo is one of the coolest guys ever!
I love mascots. I never miss an opportunity to honk and wave at them, hug them, and have my photo taken with them.
I giggle on a regular basis. Don’t get me started, because it’s hard for me to stop!
My favorite breakfast cereal is Peanut Butter Cap’n Crunch.
I collect baseball cards.
I’d take a Looney Tunes watch over a Rolex any day.
Brico is my best friend. ‘Nuff said!
