A storm system rolled in through Knoxville yesterday, and according to KnoxNews.com, we’ve already received 3.29 inches of rain from it! The flooding is unbelievable, with dozens of traffic accidents reported around town. Blount County Schools have canceled classes for tomorrow. No word yet on Knox and surrounding counties.
When I got home from work today, I was shocked to find a lake in my front yard.

It’s too dark to tell right now, but I’m afraid that Lake Chattie has grown to monstrous proportions. With any luck, I’ll be able to make it down the driveway tomorrow morning. Rest assured that I’ll have my emergency kit in tow.

I was SO glad to see the sunshine out today. That rain was driving me nuts!! I bet those trees in your front yard are BEAUTIFUL in the spring time. Are they cherry trees?

That storm system dropped 5 inches here in North Georgia in one day.
I was lucky. I wasn’t here. My husband told me about it. (I was in the Bahamas…)

I hope the rain has stopped and your lake is shrinking. I don’t know what is going on with our weather lately. It has been pooring here for three days, I don’t think it is ever going to stop.

Front yard? I think you have a park in front of your house lol.
Hope you’re ok now. We don’t see that much rain here, at least not any more.
