I continue to be amazed at all the celebrities who have gone country over the past year or so. I blogged about Darius Rucker from Hootie and the Blowfish a while back. His song, Don’t Think I Don’t Think About It is now in both the CMT and GAC Top 20 Countdowns. Then there’s Jessica Simpson who has been all over the charts with her song, Come on Over.
Imagine my surprise when I flipped on GAC tonight to see the newest celebrity gone country – Kevin Costner! That’s right. Kevin Costner & Modern West will be releasing their first CD on Tuesday! And for those of you who can’t imagine Kevin Costner belting out a country tune, check it out for yourselves.
Now, it’s worth mentioning that I’ve always found Kevin Costner extremely attractive. But seeing him now in jeans and cowboy boots – that’s what I’m talking about!

I recently blogged about going to see him at the Ryman for the Grand Old Opry. He was SOOO pretty to look at but can’t sing worth crap. That’s just my opinion of course. I hope he sticks to acting b/c I don’t think his music career will go too far.

Kevin’s playing with the Band to have a more personal connection with his fans, to have more than a quick autograph or handshake. And they’ve raised a lot of money for charities! They’ve been selling out their concerts so it’s just like any other band or singer, you either like ‘em or ya don’t and if ya don’t like ‘em ya don’t have to listen to them but they have lots of fans and I’m one of them! I like the sound of his voice!
