I spent the majority of the day at UT Vet Hospital. I’m both physically and emotionally drained, but I do have good news to share! Cruella’s surgery went exceptionally well. When the doctors opened her up, they discovered that the mass was smaller than originally thought. It was very quick and easy to remove, and the surgery was free of complications. The mass has been sent to the lab for a definitive report; however, the doctors suspect that it is a reactive lymph node.
I was not allowed to see Cruella before or after the surgery, but UT has given me regular reports on her progress. She is recovering nicely in the ICU. If she continues to do well tonight and tomorrow morning, she may be released sometime tomorrow.
Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers!
