The Night Before Surgery

Miss Cruella checked into the hospital this morning. It was so difficult to leave her there, even though I know she’s in the best of hands. I visited her after work, and she was doing very well. Her surgery is scheduled for 11:00 tomorrow morning.

My heart is now aching. I miss my sweet girl, and I pray that this surgery will be smooth and free of complications. The doctors won’t know exactly what they’re dealing with until they open her up. The mass is located between her colon and bladder, but the point of attachment could not be determined during the ultrasound. Hopefully it’s in a location where it can easily and safely be removed.

The past year and a half has been very difficult for Cruella. She has successfully battled three types of cancer, a near fatal case of peritonitis, Cushing’s Disease, and Addison’s Disease. She’s definitely a fighter. Hopefully this newest challenge will be the least serious of all and she will make a speedy recovery. Please keep her in your thoughts.
