I now only have a prepaid subscription where I only pay for use, and with a secret number. The phone usually rests in a corner and gets checked only once every 2-3 days. It's really in use only on vacation. For landline, I have SkypeIn. Sure, this makes me more unavailable when I'm not at work, but it's really relaxing. It's like I've returned to the good old days of my childhood, when people couldn't interrupt what I was doing every five minutes. But most of all, I save a whole lot of money on subscriptions. I like using cash, but I pretty much just put everything I can on a credit card and make sure I pay off the full balance each month. But I'm glad to hear the budget thing is really working for ya.
