Every time I turn the TV on, I see Jessica Simpson selling acne treatment cream. Her skin is as pure as the driven snow, and apparently as smooth as a baby’s butt. Do you really think she has ever even had a pimple?
Until recently, I had never even seen any of Jessica’s work other than the Proactiv commercials and about five minutes of The Dukes of Hazzard, as that was all I could tolerate. But a few weeks ago, I saw part of Employee of the Month while I was at the gym. I was pleasantly surprised – not by Jessica’s performance really, but by the sheer humor of the film. I laughed harder than I’ve laughed during a movie in a long time. I wasn’t up for being on the treadmill for two hours, so I rented the movie shortly after that. It was great. In fact, I’ll probably add it to my DVD collection at some point. If you’re looking for a movie that requires little thought but generates lots of laughs, give this one a chance. I think you’ll like it.
