Now that Cruella’s health is stable, it’s time to focus on Molly. I took her to the vet today for an ACTH stim test, which will check for the typical form of Cushing’s Disease. The doctors also did blood work to determine how much her estradiol levels have decreased since beginning treatment for atypical Cushing’s Disease last year. She even received a new melatonin implant today.
Molly is not a happy camper. The doctors have put her on a diet. She can’t eat anything but Purina OM (Overweight Management) food until she loses 10 pounds! And my guess is that she’ll keep eating it even after that goal has been met.
And speaking of happy campers, I’m not one either. The blood work, implant, diet food, and a couple of pet supplements and medications racked up a bill close to $500! I thought I was going to faint. In fact, I still might – especially when I look at the grand total for vet bills this year.
On second thought, I think I’d rather gouge my own eyeballs out.

Bout time Molly got her turn at the vet! Hope her tests all come out rosey though. Maybe you should buy her one of those doggie treadmills to exercise on!
