Molly Says Hello!

As you all know, Cruella was recently diagnosed with Pituitary Dependent Cushing’s Disease and is currently undergoing treatment. She successfully made it through induction and is starting her third week of lysodren maintenance. You may or may not remember that Molly was diagnosed with an atypical form of the same disease last year. Her condition is being managed with melatonin and flaxseed oil.

Molly’s regular vet, as well as the doctors at UT, have been telling me for a long while that it’s possible that Molly also has the regular form of Cushing’s Disease. Up to this point, her tests have been negative. It has been months since she has had the ACTH stim test, so it’s time to go through it again. On July 7th, she will again be tested for Cushing’s Disease. I am hopeful that she will again get a negative result. Her current condition is very manageable, but if she is also diagnosed with Pituitary or Adrenal Dependent Cushing’s, she will require further treatment - probably the same as what Cruella is currently going through. Please keep her in your thoughts.

Molly is doing very well and wants to say hello to everyone. She’s also quite jealous that I just posted Cruella’s photo, so I’ve promised to post a photo of her now too. Here she is doing even more damage to those chew toys that Cruella was working on yesterday.
