After I recently blogged about my fascination with pens, my buddy Rick sent me this video.
I laughed myself silly – not just because the video is so funny, but because it reminds me so much of myself. While the other kids back in middle school were spending their hard earned dollars in search of the world’s best acne treatment, I was dropping quarters into the pencil machine. And 24 years later, I still hate that kid who stole my pencils.
So much has changed, yet so much has stayed the same. I’m not so crazy about pencils anymore, but you’d be wise not to even think about touching my pen – my Pilot Precise V7 Rolling Ball with Extra Fine tip. Never has a more glorious pen been manufactured!
Like the kid in this video, I get a bit uneasy when someone asks to borrow my pen. I watch it like a hawk. I’ve had to stop a few people from running off with it in the past, though thankfully, I have never had to resort to extreme measures of retrieval. “Drop the pen and slowly back away!” usually does the trick. I haven’t had to fire a round yet!

Love the video! Especially at the end, with all his headgear so people won’t run off.

Ouch!! I laughed so much, my tummy hurt…lol! I use a fountain pen to write with, and like you, if anybody were to even think of touching it… well, their life just wouldn’t be the same again!
Tish, you and me are so alike it is quite alarming, lol!

The Kids In The Hall rock!
Thanks for stopping by and for your kind words of support. When I start getting settled down and find a groove I hope you’ll visit more often!

I missed the webepisode. I have a hard enough time remembering when a regular show comes on, I’m never going to remember this. The good thing is that the five minute shows are supposed to be collected in the DVD. There was an interview with Denis Leary in either EW or the TV Guide (I’ll have to look and let you know which one later), my memory is going. He’s got a new book coming out soon.

Hey Tish!
I always carry a pen with me. It’s amazing how often people need to borrow it!
I hope you’re doing well, and I hope you liked my SPC!

You’d get along with my sister. She has the biggest pen collection of anyone I’ve ever known.

ROTF, to funny. I carry to pens, my personnel , and a cheap, leaky loaner, any one running off with it will suffer a bad case of ink stain. Kind of like the exploding dye pack used by banks to foil robbers. HA!
