Cruella started the Lysodren this morning, and like any good mommy, I took the day off to make sure there were no immediate side effects. Her first dose was at 7:15 AM, and she will be taking it every 12 hours until the adrenal gland is whittled down to the appropriate size. This induction phase should be completed within 1-3 weeks. After that, she will go on maintenance, taking the meds only once or twice a week.
So far so good. Cruella seems to be doing very well. She has been eating and drinking as usual, following Mommy around the house as usual, and even playing with her little stuffed animals. Hopefully it will stay that way.

Glad she’s doing good. I feel for her right now, being stuck home after surgery is not so much fun.

Aww, I’m so impressed that you stayed home with her. She really is incredibly fortunate to have you. I wish all pets were so lucky.
Hugs to you, Tish.

Best of luck to you and Cruella. Scratch her behind the ears for me.
