Perhaps you’ve heard of Dr. Marty Goldstein. He is considered to be America’s foremost holistic veterinarian. Critically ill animals from all over the world are taken to his veterinary hospital in New York. Dr. Marty actually practices integrative medicine, which combines both conventional and alternative therapies. One of his most well known clients is Martha Stewart. In fact, you can hear Dr. Marty on his radio show, “Ask Martha’s Vet”, on Sirius Radio every Monday night.
I had heard of Dr. Marty but wasn’t very familiar with him or his practice. Johann’s Mum emailed me yesterday to share Dr. Marty’s website. After reading through the site, I decided to send him an email about my confusion regarding treatment options for Cruella. I never expected a reply, but he actually responded tonight! He shared some information about a Yahoo Group dedicated to Cushing’s Disease. There are more than 3500 members – both veterinarians and dog owners dealing with the disease. Dr. Marty recommended that I join and thought it would give me the most up to date information regarding traditional and cutting edge treatments for the disease. I just filled out my application, so hopefully my membership will be approved soon. I believe the site will be exactly what I need in order to make an informed decision.
Thank you so much, Dr. Marty!

It’s super nice when someone of esteem like that takes the time to respond to you. I think that shows how much he really does care for animals and the people that love them. Good on Dr. Marty and I’m sure that group will help inform you to make the best decisions for Miss Cruella.

That is awesome. I never heard of Dr. Marty before, but I’m shocked that he got back to you so quickly, if even at all! Hopefully the Yahoo Group will really help, or at least give you some insight and thoughts into all of your options.
