Off My Rocker

I’ve been in my “new” house for almost a year, and I still don’t have any furniture for my porch.  Don’t laugh, but I’ve had my eye on those beautiful rocking chairs at Cracker Barrel for a long while now.  I’m not quite ready to retire yet, but there’s just something I love about those rockers.   With a price tag of $200 each, though, I guess I’ll be buying them one at a time.  It’s a good thing no one ever comes to visit, eh?

Some of my neighbors have those old fashioned porch swings, and those are nice too - especially if you have a special someone to snuggle up to.   But since I’m more likely to be struck by lightning than to find a guy I want to snuggle up with, I may be better off choosing something a little more practical - like some nice teak furniture.  Maybe I can find a rocker made out of this stuff!

We waited until Cracker Barrel had a scratch and dent sale. We paid $90 each for two white ones. We figured they would get dinged up anyway.

If you would stop telling everyone about the spiders and ghosts, maybe they wouldn’t be afraid to visit.

There is nothing better than teak. It will last forever. The only problem is the price.
