Until a few years ago, I hated wind chimes. I associated them with horror films. You always heard those chimes when some poor, unsuspecting girl was about to be attacked.
I don’t know exactly why things changed, but I now love wind chimes. I could sit and listen to them for hours.
While out shopping this weekend, I came across these chimes and just couldn’t resist buying them. They are absolutely gorgeous – to the eye as well as the ear. Take a look.
I couldn’t manage to get a very good photo that would show the entire wind chime while also showing just how beautiful it really is. You’ll just have to take my word that it is simply amazing. And the sound is enchanting.
These chimes are hung along the back of my house, outside the kitchen window. We have had a lot of wind lately, so I can hear them quite well while preparing dinner. It’s the loveliest sound!

Ever seen bamboo chimes? I like that sound way better than metal ones.
Now that you mention it, I’m going to buy some for my house. It’s going on 2 1/2 years since I bought it, and I still have yet to hang any sort of picture on any wall. Bout time eh?

I love the sound of windchimes as well. The deep bell like sounds that remind you of church bells are the best I think but I also like the hollow woooden ones. Very relaxing and pretty on a breezy spring day. Oooh – this post made me feel good.

i never thought about how synonomous they are with horror films, but you’re right! in any case, i’m a wind chime lover too. unfortunately my husband hates them so he makes me hang them all out at the very end of the patio and glares at me when we’re out there and they happen to make any noise! sad!

I’ve got a big ol’ set of windchimes on my backporch and they always sound like they are playing the Imperial March from Star Wars…it’s kind of neat but creepy!
