As many of you know, I was diagnosed with glaucoma at age 26. It is currently being managed with daily medications and quarterly doctor visits. Fortunately, my treatment has been successful, and I have maintained 20/20 vision. My doctor says that I will eventually need glasses, but not necessarily due to the glaucoma. Apparently eyesight is one of the first things to go when your body starts falling apart.
Though I may look like a spring chicken, I’ll be 36 in June! I figure there’s no better time than the present to start preparing for the inevitable, so I’ve been looking into my options. I just made a Great Discovery: Zenni Optical. They offer a huge selection of stylish frames with Single Vision, Bi-Focal, and Progressive Bi-Focal lenses. The Zenni Optical $8 Rx Glasses caught my eye. In fact, I’ve already picked out a pair. They go rather well with my blog, don’t ya think?

Given the impending loss of my youthful features, I also looked into a few other options - boob jobs, tummy tucks, hair coloring. But the Best Thing Found: Zenni Optical!

Well that sucks. I have 20/600 vision but I wear contacts.
I wish I had worn contacts in high school though so I wouldn’t have looked like such a fugly looking nerd. Damned glasses ruined my life!
Uhhh, which is not to say that glasses wouldn’t look great on you… I think I’ll shut up now.

Actually, sometimes your eyes can improve as you get older, depending on their condition. I’ve actually improved on my near-sightedness since I turned 40.
But, please, stay away from the Botox. People willingly injecting themselves with harmful bacteria scare me.

Those glasses look funky! And just because your eyesight changes doesn’t mean you will look any older.

Lincoln… I feel your pain. Literally. I think I have 20/60000 vision. True coke bottle glasses. Had ‘em since 1st grade actually and thankfully got contact lenses in high school.
And I also agree that glasses would look great on Tish. Especially those purple ones. Heck, I demand some photos with glasses, T! Bring ‘em on!
