Blog Earnings for December and January

I just started monetizing my blogs in December, and I am thrilled to report that I’ve actually made some money!

My total blog earnings for December 2007 were $58.29. January 2008 earnings were $166.64. Sources of income include SponsoredReviews, Domaining Manifesto e-book sales, Google Adsense, WidgetBucks, Commission Junction, ScratchBack, CashCrate, and blog contests.

Since I love to blog, it’s really not like work at all. And though I’m not getting rich, it’s extra cash that I am earmarking for those crazy vet bills that I incur each month.

I have made 3.07 from my golf blog, but cannot get any until I reach 10.00
Not so good, but I DID profit from 1 million hours on line :-)

That’s great Tish! It’s nice to receive that money throughout the year for something that you would be doing anyway. It was weird for me this year when I had to report my Adsense earnings on my income tax. It wasn’t enough to knock me into a higher tax bracket but it did lower my refund by a few dollars.

My Adsense earnings are still under $100. I’ll have to try some of the other things that you’re trying.

I’d report what I’ve made, but then I’ll have the government IRS on my back. You know, with all the money I’ve made..and such. I mean, I’ve made a lot of money blogging about, um, making money blogging. So, I have a lot of money…

…OKAY, I’ve only made $11.82 from blogging! But I’m still somebody…somebody who blogs!

Great job! I have yet to earn one red cent from blogging. To busy with other ventures to truly delve into it like I should.

    Keep up the good work!

As somebody who has blogged here for years, I really resent the sneaky approach advertisers are using to try and circumvent blatent product pushing.

It doesn’t do your blog any favours, either. There is the occasional interesting snippet of your personality coming through the dross of sycophantic ‘info-posts’ but, for the most part, not enough to make it worthwhile wading through the irritating morass of words.

I really would like to know if the advertisers find they get a good response from this sort of marketing strategy. Personally, I make a mental note to never, ever buy any of the product mentioned and to avoid any further reading of your blog.
