Organize Your DVD Collection with All My Movies

allmymovies.gifI’m a DVD junkie. I don’t know exactly how many I have, but I’m sure that it’s well over 300. And with that many movies, it’s difficult to keep track of the titles I own. On more than one occasion, I’ve purchased a movie only to get home and find a second copy. Wouldn’t it be great to have a computer program that manages your movie collection for you?

All My Movies does just that, and so much more. If you’re a slow typist, you’ll be happy to know that your DVDs can be loaded into the movie database by entering or scanning UPC barcodes, or even by importing from other formats, such as Excel. All My Movies automatically downloads the artwork and movie details from the Internet, putting a wealth of information right at your fingertips.

You’ll be able to play movies directly from the program, save your collection to a mobile device, and export your collection for display on a website. All My Movies also includes a Loan Manager, so you’ll never again have to wonder just who borrowed that Transformers movie.

You can download a free 30 day trial version of All My Movies. At the end of the trial period, you’ll be able to purchase a license for the full version. You can score a free license by evaluating the software and creating a list of any bugs you discover, or by posting a review of the software on your blog.

If you’re up to your eyeballs in DVDs, be sure to check out this great movie organizer. I have no doubt that you’ll love it.

This is a great idea. I may have to check it out — I probably have as many DVDs as you (hi, fellow DVD junkie!). :)

    Hi Kat,

I’ve considering to replace my rusted Microsoft Access DVD database with something else. I am really glad you mentioned about all my movies.

    Kat,

So I’ve been looking on how to pass the license later on and come back here..

You also just give me a great idea how to get that for free legally.

I used to catalogue all my DVDs, got out of the habit a bit now, plus I don’t buy as many as I used to.

The program I used at the time was DVD Profiler, but might have to give it and All My Movies a look - it will help with my general de-cluttering ethos I’m trying to get into!

    Zath,

DVD Profiller? Never heard of that before.. Is it a freeware?

I have a movie collection with 1,126 movies. I was definitely swimming in dvds!

    Look at http://www.moviecollectorplus.com

It does all the same, exact stuff but is MUCH easier to use. And it’s online so you can access it anywhere… not just on your computer. Plus, it lets you link up with friends’ collections and compare your movies. You can request to borrow movies and they are automatically tracked.

It’s like the same, but better.
    Check it out! :)
