I have a TV in my bedroom, but I very rarely watch it – at least I didn’t until this weekend. I get so little sleep as it is that when I go to bed, I don’t want to be distracted by the TV. Well, I just made the switch from cable back to DirecTV, and I’m like a kid with a new toy. I love my DirecTV! So many channels, and at a fraction of the cost of cable! This is going to be bad news.
I crawled into bed around 3 AM Saturday night. After getting all comfy, I flipped on the tv and checked the listings. John Edward Cross Country was on WE!!! Now, you may think he’s full of crap. Andrew certainly does. But I love John Edward! I think he’s simply amazing. He talks so fast that no one is able to get a word in, and he mentions details that no one would be able to just “guess”. So why do people think he’s a phony? I think he’s a total cutie, so that’s even more incentive to watch the show.
I’m a big crybaby when it comes to TV shows and movies. I think all the crap I’ve taken with a smile just breaks loose when I’m watching the tube. And John Edward’s show is a real tearjerker. I wiped tears from my eyes until 4 AM when the show ended – especially when John told a woman that a newborn baby was with her father on the other side. The lady got a shocked look on her face and then just completely broke down - and I did the same. As it turns out, she had suffered a miscarriage only months before. Hearing John say that her father was holding the baby was shocking, but comforting, and completely tear-inducing.
I just checked the WE weekly listings, and it turns out that John Edward Cross Country is on two nights each week. It’s on Friday nights from 3:30 – 4:00 AM, and Saturday nights from 2:00 – 4:00 AM! So, you can guess where I’ll be both nights - in bed, wrapped in a blanket with a bowl of popcorn and a box of Kleenex!

Sorry, Tish. I STILL say it’s a load of bunk. First off, one of your key argument is “I think he’s a total cutie…” That just tosses everything out the window.
But take a look at what time Mr. Edwards is on… 3 a.m.? Hmm.. An hour when most people are sleeping or watching tv in an exhausted zombie-like state. Your mind is already lucid, so you’ll easily accept his rantings.
I’m pretty open minded and definitely can believe in some spiritual things, but this guy just seems like a glorified charlatan to me.

John Edward is certainly a fast talker! I’m skeptical as to his abilities, but believe that there are plenty of people out there who really can talk to the dead. Those shows always give me the chills!

Andrew - You’re just jealous.
Liza - Those shows definitely are interesting, even if they aren’t real!

Tish,
I’ve been a J.E. fan for years. It took several years to score tickets - 11 months in advance of his Denver appearance. Being in the same room with him is awesome. I didn’t get a reading but that’s ok, the people that did needed it more than me. He acts, looks, and is in every way the same in person as on TV. It would take the non believers only a reading to change their minds. He actually came to Fort Collins and did a follow up with her about her husband that passed. It aired on TV. She didn’t even know about him but went to NY with her sister and she was the one that got read. She believes now. An amazing story.

sorry, I missed the part that it was a friend of mine that got a reading in NY …then the crew came and did the follow up here in CO.
I know we can all read typo but I wanted to clarify.
