I just got off the phone with AT&T technical support. For some reason, my cell phone refused to make or receive calls. After trying everything imaginable, the tech asked me to walk outside with the phone. I started to tell her to hold on while I got dressed, but I figured that was one of those things better left unsaid.
What followed was a mad rush to put on some shorts and pull a t-shirt over my head while talking on the phone.
There was rattling, rustling, cursing…
“Hold on, I’m almost there!”
…toe stubbing, accidental button pushing…
That tech was unbelievably polite. I surely had time to brew a pot of coffee and read the newspaper before making it out the door, yet she never made mention of it.
It’s a damn shame that after all that trouble, I just needed to reboot the darn thing.
