There was the Clarence Brown.

There was another building next to it.

That building was the 'theatre in the round'.

Saw a production in it where the director had orange sellers going through the audience.

I believe that the director was Tom Cooke and that his assiatant in the production was some guy named Julian. He was from England.

The music for the play of mistaken identity was provided by a hammer dulcimer.

I saw a wonderful production at The Calrence Brown. It was Hamlet and they got some acotr to come in from out of towm.

The get thee to a nunnery scene held everyone's breath.

Man!
You thought that Hamlet was going to rape Ophelia on the stage!
The guy had her down on her back and he was straddling her!

I have never seen "Hamlet" acted with such keyed up tension.

Tom and Julian also did this production.

I think that Tom was the head of the department at that time.

I used to go there when it was "in the round"...remember that?

I also have been to the new theater and used to take dates to the West End Dinner Theater. That was a great evening...especially with the "set ups!"
