Excellent article, and as they say at the end eyesight is something that many take for granted. Annual checkups are a necessity as far as I’m concerned.
Awesome story Tish. I was a registered optician for over 11 years before I got into blogging full time. Glaucoma is a terrible disease that creeps up on people undetected until its too late (vision loss). Although treatable, the huge killer is the fact that many people don’t get eye exams on a regular basis. Once the vision is lost, it can’t be restored.
Eye exams are cheap, as little as $25 dollars. Most people spend that much eating out a lunch. It would be stupid NOT to get an eye exam. It is recommended to get an eye exam once per year; however, with the cost being so cheap, go once every six months…
You have only two eyes that have to last a very long time. Great article and congrats on the PR coverage.
I just wanted to stop by and give my congrats to you. I left a message with Mike, but wanted to take the time to say hey to you as well. I’m very proud of you and Mike.
My goodness, I am honoured to know you Tish… not just because of the article, not only because of the things you do for the cause, but I am honoured because you are you.

Not to brag, but I’ve been mentioned in the papers a couple of times too. Usually as ‘unidentified white male seen fleeing.’
