All I know about Tish comes from her blog entries and comments. But that's enough to tell me that she's humurous, interesting, friendly, outgoing, and cares about others. What more do you need to know?

[...] Tish from The Kat House has started an interesting meme. While she still hasn’t named the thing, I’m calling it the Getting to Know Meme: Bloggers tend to be very honest, spilling their deepest thoughts into the blogosphere without a moment’s hesitation. It is that openness that allows us to feel that we really know the people behind the blogs. But what if we could get to know them even better? You’ve read the bloggers’ words. Now read what the people closest to them have to say. [...]

Tish, Tish, Tish...what to say. You are a stalker, crazy woman...with fingers that can text 100's if not 1000's of messages in a couple of hours all whilst blogging in a marathon. You can flatten tires from miles away...you speak with the dead.

Leticia...i think the name is Mortcia!!!

and then...then...well, all i can say is thank God you are still a resident of Knoxville (not that I wouldn't want you for a neighbor)

I love you Tish!

Bush - Aww. Thanks for the nice words! You're the best. And when you go on that blogging tour of the US, I expect to meet you!

Michael - Thank you for the very nice comment. It brought back so many memories, and really made me smile. I haven't visited your blog yet today, but I really hope that you'll participate in this meme as well. There are a few memories of you that I'd like to share! Like the X-Files mug you got me for my birthday...and I still have it even though the X is almost worn off...just can't part with it! And your X-Files Season Premiere Party, where I met another Tish! And you teaching me HTML. And meeting you and Barry at BYB just a couple of months ago! I am eternally thankful for your friendship.

Barry - Your comment really cracked me up. Just when I think I've overcome the trauma associated with those BIG HULKING DUPLICATORS, you always remind me! I am so glad to have met you all those years ago, and even more happy that we're such good friends now. I'll always treasure your friendship.

Geneva - Wow. I was hoping that my little sister would comment! Ya know, I certainly don't remember telling you that your butt was too high and your legs were too long; although, that does sound like something I'd say - or at least think. Sorry about that! But hey - at least I made up for it with all the hot guy hand-me-downs, right? ;) Thank you for being such a wonderful sister!

Judy - You are so kind. You say all these wonderful things about me, but it is you who deserves so much praise. You are one of the happiest, friendliest, and most down to earth women in the blogosphere. You deserve all the awards and link love. I am happy to have you for a friend, and I hope that one day we will meet in person!

Andrew - Thank you for the amazing comment. You have truly enriched my life by being a part of it. Thank you for commenting on my Woman Behind the Words page. That led to a beautiful friendship that I will always be thankful for. I appreciate you more than you know. The fact that you listen to all my crazy stories without passing judgment, and tell me lots of crazy stories of your own - it lets me know that you're the real deal. A true friend. Thank you. :)

Awesome idea for a meme, Tish. Though you do still need to give it a name!

I love reading all these comments too. It's true, if you really want to learn about someone, don't ask them, ask their family, friends and co-workers. :)

That said, I've never met Tish in person, though we've chatted a bit online and like everyone's said previously she is the real deal. I couldn't have picked a better "blogging mentor," since when I started out I couldn't even tell the difference between RSS and CSS. (Well, other than the obvious 1 letter difference.) She's also given me more awards then I've ever garnered in my entire life, lots of link love and definite ideas on how to be a better blogger and embrace the blogging community. Honestly, my blog would not be even 50% of what it is today (whatever that is), without having met Tish. So big honkin' thanks for that, T.

Only other thing I'll say is... I don't remember how I stumbled upon The Kat House in the first place, but I remember being intrigued by the Woman Behind the Words page and then totally getting hooked on Tish's wit and humor after immediately seeing she named her dalmatian Cruella.
