Five Strengths, Four People

I was tagged by my new friend Graham for this meme.

“So, here’s the challenge: make a list of five strengths that you possess as a writer/artist. It’s not really bragging, it’s an honest assessment (forced upon you by this darn meme). Please resist the urge to enumerate your weaknesses, or even mention them in contrast to each strong point you list. Tag four other writers or artists whom you’d like to see share their strengths.“

Graham is an amazing photographer, and he chose to show off some of his work along with his meme post. Photography is not my strong suit, so my words will have to speak for themselves. Without further ado…

  1. The gift of wit – I often use humor to relay very real thoughts and events to my readers. I enjoy being able to make others laugh.
  2. Impeccable grammar – Need someone to proofread your English paper?  I’m your girl!
  3. Love of the written word – I’m not the best verbal communicator, but I have always had a way with words.  Perhaps it’s because writing allows me to carefully choose the perfect words to express my deepest thoughts.
  4. Beautiful penmanship – It is a shame that today’s technology has nearly eliminated handwritten letters.  I still enjoy sending handwritten cards and letters, and I have gotten so many compliments on my penmanship.
  5. An appreciation for other writers – It’s no secret that I greatly admire other bloggers – not only for their writing talents, but also their ability to put their personal lives out there for the entire world to access.  I feel that appreciating your own work comes only after knowing and appreciating the work of your peers.

I am tagging: Black Atticus, Mike, Barry, and Michael.

Thank you kindly for your kind introduction ;) As soon as began reading your qualities, I knew I had made the right decision to include you on my list. Your posts have certainly brought a smile to my face and I am greatful to you for that. Can I also congratulate you on having better English than I have… considering I am from England, that is definitely a compliment. I am totally envious of people with great penmanship… it is a true craft and you are truly gifted. Your words in your fifth quality are beautiful and your appreciation for other writers is reciprocated. Your blog is simply inspiring. You have written 5 of our qualities here, but ou are full of so many more.

I love handwritten letters too. I’ve always been complemented on my penmanship…working at the hospital has made it sloppy tho.

Nice list, Tish. As someone with atrocious penmanship, I can appreciate good handwriting when I see it. I think you need to post some on here. Get cracking. Start writing and scanning!

Oh, and I just tagged you to go back to school: http://www.ultimatecoupons.com/blog/?p=314

    Hey Tish,

    How are you doing?

I enjoyed reading your strengths, and there wasn’t one that I wouldn’t agree with :) .

    Cheers

Hi Tish, thanks for dropping by. I enjoyed this post – it tells me a little more about you and I’m sold because I feel exactly the same way!

[...] think Tish tagged me for this meme about three years ago, or at least it feels that way. I really seem to suck [...]

Hi, Neat post. There’s a problem with your website in web explorer, may test this… IE still is the market leader and a good portion of other people will pass over your fantastic writing because of this problem.
