I haven’t been a very good blogger lately, and for that, I apologize. I have lots of news to share over the next few posts, so stay tuned.
I’d like to thank Mike for awarding me the Break Out Blogger Award. This award “casts a spotlight on bloggers who are just beginning to draw lots of attention – the equivalent of a song with a bullet on Billboard’s Top 100 chart. Lotsa good posts. Lotsa good buzz. These bloggers are going places in a hurry.”
So, just what prompted Mike to present me with this award? I recently broke into the Technorati Top 10K – quite an accomplishment! Take a look!

I’d like to present the Break Out Blogger Award to these fine bloggers.
Christy of Totally Fabulous – Christy is a seasoned blogger, authoring several wonderful blogs. Totally Fabulous is the newest of her ventures, and it’s just that – totally fabulous! It has quickly become a favorite blog of mine, and I’m certain that it will catapult Christy to blog stardom!
Chip of Chip’s Quips – I’ve been reading Chip’s blog for some time now, and he’s definitely going places! Chip’s Quips covers a variety of topics, but if I had to categorize it, I’d call it a “geek blog”. Many of the posts focus on coding and various technology topics.
K-IntheHouse of ShanKri-la – ShanKri-la is another geek blog, and one of the best ones I’ve seen. Trust me – I know my geek blogs! K has made a real splash in the blogging world with ShanKri-la. The blog is less than one year old, but it’s attracting lots of attention.
Congratulations! Please visit the creator’s Awards Page for instructions on posting and passing on your award. The Awards Page lists both the history and recipients of the award.
Bob of Bobbarama dot com presented me with the Best Kept Secret award. This award is extra special to me, because it came straight from the creator himself! According to Bob, “We all have a Best Kept Secret blogger or two we visit regularly — a blogger with great style and wit and warmth who hasn’t been discovered yet.” This award gives a little recognition to those bloggers. Thanks so much, Bob!
I now present the award to these exceptional bloggers.
Trey of Complete Geek – Trey started Complete Geek only a few months ago, and I’m guessing that’s why he hasn’t yet been discovered. I subscribe to 131 feeds, and only six of those are categorized as “Favorite Blogs”. Complete Geek is one of them. It’s a geek blog, of course, but Trey has an awesome sense of humor that really shines through in his posts.
Andrew of Everybody Loves Coupons – It’s no secret that Andrew is one of my favorite bloggers. Though his blog’s purpose is to bring you lots of money-saving coupons, he does so in a very unique way. The blog is a personal journal that manages to tie a coupon to every post.
Roger of The Callboard Blog – The Callboard Blog is a blog run by the Department of Theatre at the University of Tennessee. Though it will have more appeal to theatre fans in the Knoxville area, there is something there for all theatre fans.
Barry of Inn of the Last Home – Barry and I have been friends for years, but that’s not the only reason I love his blog. He’s a fantastic guy who always has something interesting to say. His favorite topics include theatre, politics, news, sci-fi, and television. In fact, I just posted a review of Inn of the Last Home on BlogsWeLuv. Check it out.
Mike of Ordinary Folk – As most of you know, Mike and I are great friends. I’ve been reading his blog since May, and there’s lots of good stuff there. He’s like me in that he posts about random topics, but that just means you’re bound to find something you like!
Congratulations to each of you! Please visit the creator’s Awards Page for details on posting and passing on your award. The Awards Page lists both the history and recipients of this award.

Last but certainly not least, Christy has presented me with the You Make Me Smile Award. I’ve received this one before, but it means just as much the second time around! Thanks, Christy!
I presented this award to five bloggers recently, so I’ll choose five more who keep me smiling!
Bush Mackel – Bush is one of the friendliest bloggers I’ve met. His blog is fresh and interesting, and his pleasant personality always shines through.
Groanin’ Jock – Groanin’ Jock has a wonderful sense of humor, and I can always expect a laugh when visiting his blog.
Michael Neel of ViNull – Michael is a fantastic blogger as well as a great local friend of mine. The comments he leaves are both kind and humorous. His own blog focuses mainly on coding and technology. That may sound dry, but trust me, it’s not. His blog is an awesome blog!
Bob of Bobbarama dot com – If you ever need a good laugh, just head over to Bob’s blog. It’s definitely a cure for the blues!
Biscuit of One Biscuit Hound – Biscuit’s posts will keep you smiling. Her blog is one of the most humorous I’ve seen. And she’s a beauty too!
Congratulations to you all! Please pass on the award as you see fit.

Okay, I’m going to have to quit reading your blog. It makes me depressed that I’m not as wildly popular as you. Congrats on being better than most of us!

Thanks, Tish! “Geek blog”, I’ll take that as a compliment.
September 20th, 2007 at 9:34 am
Tish, this is easily the best award you’ve given me. Not that I don’t appreciate all the other ones, but come on, this one has some sexy babe making the “shhhh” motion with her lips! That more than makes up for the, er, less manly pink award with flowers and ballet slippers you’ve given me. Heh. I’ll have to add this and the other one to my awards area a.s.a.p. Thank ye kindly. And big congrats on breaking the Top 10,000!!!
