Ok, I’m compelled to comment . . . funeral salesperson and Sonic carhop? Let me guess, the carhop job was high school and/or college? How often did people hit on you or ask for your number. I’m guessing it happened frequently. Any interesting funeral salesperson stories to tell? (I’m still waiting for you to relate your encounters with ghosts, which you had mentioned in a post quite some time ago.)

Max – I look forward to your post!
Brian – You’re right. The carhop job was during high school and for a year or two afterward. And I got hit on all the time! That’s how I met most of the guys I went out with back then. Maybe I should go get a part time job there now! hehe. As for the funeral sales position, it didn’t last very long. I was a terrible salesperson and wasn’t making any money. And I was about to get married, so I decided to get something a little more stable!
Unfortunately, I don’t have too many exciting stories to tell from that place, but a couple of the guys there used to try to scare me all the time!
As for the ghost stories, I’ll blog a few of them sometime soon!

Oh, and the Vet Assistant job was during high school as well. It was only a summer job though. I loved it!

I wonder if you remember handing me a sheet with the names of old folks to “cold call” about burial plots? I don’t recall them being very happy.

Great job, Tish! Thanks for playing along. And yeah, I can’t turn off “School of Rock” either if I catch it on TV. Despite it’s crazy over-the-top cheesiness, there’s just something about it. (Probably the soundtrack).
And purple is my older son’s favorite color! As for carhop at Sonic… I am SO demanding pictures. Now. Right now. Don’t lie to me, you’ve got at least 1. Somewhere. I’ll just wait here…

Ha! Somehow I just knew you could watch School of Rock over and over. My Mum feels the same, it was on just the other night, and she was laughing outloud again! BTW, Mum’s favorite lemonade was from Sonic when she lived in Texas, no Sonic’s here, sniff, sniff!
Thanks for the award, that’s pawsome!
