1. The Misanthropic: Name something (about humanity) that you absolutely hate. I hate the fact that there are so many people who are unhappy with their own lives to the point that they try to make everyone around them miserable too.
2. The Meritricious: Expose someone or something that’s phony, fraudulent, or bogus. I just found out that one of my closest friends has been leading a double life for the entire time I’ve known him. Our entire friendship was built on a lie. One of his friends contacted me last night to tell me the news. When I tried to contact my friend to get his side of the story, his phone had been disconnected, and his MySpace profiles had been deleted. His friend gave me more information this morning, which I believe to be the truth. Because I’m a nice person, and I sincerely hope that this guy starts to make some positive changes in his life, I will not reveal his identity.
3. The Malcontent: Name something you’re unhappy with. I’m unhappy to have lost my friend. And what makes it worse is that, based on the information I just received, he was never really a friend at all.
4. The Meritorious: Give someone credit for something and name it if you can. Barry put on a great show with The Atomic Horns last night. It was the first time I’d heard them play, but it definitely won’t be the last!
5. The Mirror: See something good about yourself and name it. I have a sense of humor. It makes life so much more fun!
6. The Make-Believe: Name something you wish for. I wish to be debt-free. Mortgage payments suck!
Now it’s your turn.

1. The Misanthropic: Name something (about humanity) that you absolutely hate. I hate the current cult of celebrity that makes society think that Paris Hilton and her peers deserve one second of news coverage. It’s NOT NEWS.
2. The Meritricious: Expose someone or something that’s phony, fraudulent, or bogus. Alberto Gonzalez and his Justice Dept. Cronies. These people have lied and “lost” or destroyed evidence to cover up the politicization of the Justice Dept.
3. The Malcontent: Hmmmm, I’m just unhappy with what the Bush administration has done to this country, its Constitution, and its reputation in world affairs . . . potentially irreparable damage.
4. The Meritorious: Give someone credit for something and name it if you can. My wife for working so hard in the last several months to secure extra help and instruction for our ADD 8-year old.
5. The Mirror: See something good about yourself and name it. I may be mercurial in other areas, but as a Little League coach I’m a patient instructor. I love it when a kid “gets it” after a lesson on hitting or fielding.
6. The Make-Believe: Name something you wish for. I wish to be living half of every year in a cottage in the Hebrides, free to hike the stark landscape, take photographs, and paint.

Wow, all this praise…. I’m blushing
We definitely could use a few cheerleaders out there, spreading the word about the band. Can’t wait for you to come hear a whole show.
Next show bloggers come to see, I’m buying a round!

Wow… news about that “friend” really hit you hard. It’s sad when things like that happen.

Sorry to hear about your faux friend. I hope he finds himself, and doesn’t hurt anybody else along the way. So sad…
