We Made a Deal!

After several days of negotiation, we have finally reached an agreement on the house.

  1. I added $2,000 to the original listing price for the house.
  2. The seller will pay $4,571 toward my closing costs.
  3. The seller will pay $850 to replace the fuse box with a new breaker box.
  4. The seller will have a termite inspection done.
  5. The seller will leave the refrigerator, dishwasher, and range with the house.
  6. The seller will pay up to $300 for any repairs needed at the time of the home inspection.

I now have a contract on the house, and I should be able to close in approximately two weeks! I will post more photos soon, but in the meantime, here’s a sneak peek.

I pulled these photos from the original MLS listing. You will be happy to know that the lawn is now very green and very well groomed!

Wish me luck for a speedy closing!

Looks like my house… but why pay more to have the same amount of closing costs paid?

  5. Tish Says:

    JC ~ Thank you!

Barry ~ Thanks! You’ll be the first to know!

ab5sy ~ Why did you have to remind me about that?! I just bought a push mower that’s going to take me all day long to mow that lawn! arrghh…

JT ~ The seller wouldn’t take the other offer. In essence, I had to add $2,000 to the price in order to pick up some of the closing costs myself.
