I don’t think there is anything in life that is more difficult than letting go.
Letting go of your memories…
your hopes…
your fears…
your dreams…
Letting go of those special people who made your life so much better just by being in it…
The time has come for me to let go.

This has been on my mind lately, not in a personal capacity – just in theory, its an odd thing, to ‘forget’…

Sorry I missed this when it first went up. I think you need to reassign the memories. Put them in a different mental folder. Accessible, but not on the desktop, as it were.
Unless, of course, you’re letting me go too….

The Language of Letting Go by Melody Beattie~
god, don’t ya just hate people who invite you to church and suggest self-help books!!!! *whispers* it is really good though!

BD ~ I don’t think you have to forget in order to let go. You just have to put it all out of mind temporarily – until the hurt goes away.
Osbasso ~ Nice analogy! I need to reorganize my folders; that’s for sure! Don’t worry – you won’t be left behind!
OCL ~ I haven’t heard of that book, but I’ll definitely look into it.
Thank you.
