Bringing Tishy Back

I have come to the realization that I just need to get off my ass and bring the old Tishy back!

I didn’t take any classes this semester since I needed that time to work on The Big Move. But since plans for The Big Move have been cancelled, I have decided to take classes again this summer. I should have already completed another degree by now, but changing majors several times along the way created a huge delay. I took lots of classes that I don’t need for my current degree, which is a BS in Organizational Leadership. I need ten more classes to complete the requirements. I’m planning to take two this summer. At this rate, I’ll be able to save time and money by combining my graduation party and my retirement party!

Look out - I’m moving on up the food chain! The days of vegetarianism are gone. A few months back, I started eating chicken on occasion. And for the past month or so, I’ve been eating whatever the hell I want. In fact, while having lunch with Kevin a few weeks ago, the waiter mixed up our orders. Why? Well, in Kev’s words, “It’s because she ordered all the guy food!” And speaking of guy food, just wait until I go to my first Smokies game of the season! I’m already drooling at the thought of a chili dog!

I’m looking for a new (or newer) home in the Knoxville vicinity. My brother will be buying mine once I find something that I’m happy with.

My lawn mower died, and if I don’t get a new one right away, the grass is going to be taller than little ol’ me! Anyone have a good suggestion for a lawn mower to buy? I want something that doesn’t pull my arm out of the socket when I crank it, something that is simple for me to operate, something relatively inexpensive, but something very reliable. Hmmm…perhaps I could get a guy instead of a tool. More than likely, it will be a guy who is a tool.

I’ll be seeing a play this weekend – A Flea in Her Ear. It has been a few months since I’ve been to the theatre, so I’m really excited. Has anyone seen this production? Lecram?

Since I now have an abundance of spare time, I’ll be going back to the gym. It’s time for me to work on me – to work on getting that body I’ve always wanted. Anyone out there go to CourtSouth? Mike, have you joined yet? I need a workout partner.

Oh, and one more thing – anybody up for Dollywood?

Have a great day!

I may be breaking down and just paying the Mafia… I mean courtsouth there fees. I know that Cicelie is interested, and if I get a couples membership to save a few bucks and she ends up using it more that I, I won’t feel so bad.

I hate lawns. So trust me when I say I know something about picking an easy to use push mower. You want “rear propelled” - that is the back wheels spin, not the front. The back wheels are on the cut grass… front propelled and a high lawn will just lift the front of the ground and you do the pushing. You want large wheels, and again back more important than the front. you can pretty much ignore horse power (HP) - most will be 4-6HP and I’ve got a little 2HP mower that cuts just as well as my bigger one. You want two speed controls, one for the blade and one for the wheels (so it moves at your pace). Last, test out the safety bar (the bar you hold down while running) to make sure it won’t be a pain (literally) after mowing half the yard.

Lowes/Home Depot have a good selection, but don’t forget to check Sears as well as Wal-Mat and Target - this time of year they will have some models on sale and a little driving around can save some money.

If you do find a guy that’s a tool to mow your lawn, send him to my place as well to take care of and tell him I’m your retarded second cousin that you help take care of. Oh, and have him edge and trim the bushes while he’s here. And clean the gutters…

BT ~ Yummy! How about making one for me? ;)

Mike ~ If you and Cicelie join, that will give me two potential workout partners! Awesome! Btw, thanks so much for the lawn mower advice. I have committed your specifications to memory, and I will look for all those features when I go shopping tomorrow! If I find a tool, I’ll be sure to send him your way for yard work. ;) Thanks for being such a great friend!

Doc ~ I’ll check out Walmart.com as well. Thanks for the tip! My lawn is about 3/4 acre. A riding mower would be so nice, but I can’t invest that kind of money until my dogs are healthy again. Have a great day!

A’s Journey ~ Thanks so much for visiting. I enjoyed your blog as well! Very nice photos!

fyr ~ Thanks for reading, and thanks for the comment! I’m going to go check out your doggie. You know me - I’m a sucker for dogs!! ;)

OCL ~ Glad I could make ya laugh! Thanks for stopping by!

Kev ~ Don’t you mean that you’ll be using the $10 you owe me to help pay for my ticket?? Yep, Sanjaya will NOT make it into the Top 6!

Ben ~ Thank you! Thanks for stopping by. Cute blog!

bbs ~ Thank you! And I look forward to reading more of your blog as well! :)
