Odds and Ends

I dropped Molly off at the vet this morning for her ultrasound. A few hours later, I got a phone call informing me that the ultrasound showed abnormalities in her liver. The vet wanted to sedate Molly just enough to get a needle biopsy of the liver. The biopsy was done, and I am currently awaiting the results, along with the results of the ultrasound. I feel so terrible for Molly. When I picked her up tonight, she felt bad and was so tired from the tranquilizer. But she is finally sleeping - and snoring! Like mother, like daughter!

Cruella is scheduled for some minor surgery on February 27th. She has a couple of growths under her skin. The vet took biopsies the other day. One of them was a fatty tumor. That one hasn’t caused Cruella any pain, but the other one has. The vet was unable to get a good cell sample from the painful growth, so we have no idea what it is. Since Cruella is going to have her teeth cleaned on the 27th, I decided to just get the painful growth removed at that time. In the past, she has chewed it up to the point that I’ve had to bandage it, so I think it’s best to get rid of the growth once and for all!

Speaking of the dogs, I’ll have their portraits made on February 24th. And, of course, you’ll see them right here on my blog!

I had a great weekend with Brico. It was late when I got to SC on Friday night, and I was exhausted, so we just went to bed. Brico worked on Saturday, and I shopped! We had a wonderful, romantic Valentine’s Day celebration on Saturday night. On Sunday, we played games, ran around a bit, and then picked up Ed and Aspen and went out to lunch. I got back on the road to Knoxville around 5:15 PM. I’m looking forward to the day I get to move to SC.

Speaking of the move, still no luck with a job. There have been quite a few HR positions opening up over the last few weeks, so hopefully it won’t be much longer until I find something. I’m more than ready!

We got a new game called In a Pickle. Brico and I laughed so hard while playing it. Did you know that you can fit a tractor trailer in a kitchen? Well, you can! Brico doesn’t believe me! It’s a really large kitchen! But my really large kitchen is no match for the crazy things Brico thought up during that game!

I thank you all for continuing to read my blog. I hate the fact that I had to set it to private. Hopefully I’ll be able to open it back up to the public in the near future.

Have a great night!

    You’re in doggie sickness hell.
All my best for the pups. Is there such thing as insurance for the animals cause I’m sure those bills are making a dent?

I am glad to hear that you are holding up pretty well with so much happening in your life right now. I really do hope the puppies are doing better soon and looking forward to pictures of them. I will have to post some pictures of mine soon.

I wish you all the best in your job search in SC. I have visited back there a bit, but never made it to SC. Pictures appear beautiful, though. By the way, my great uncle and aunt lived in Nashville for many years. He played rhythm guitar for Grand Old Opry up through the 70s and passed away in early 80s.

    Just a little more info/trivia.

    Take care.

Well thanks for the invite to keep reading it. Glad you had a fun early Valentine’s Day. Sorry that things with Molly and Cruella continue to be up in the air.

Hopefully, they will improve in the near future. fingers crossed

Red ~ Thanks for the well wishes! Yes, there is pet insurance available. Unfortunately, pre-existing conditions would not be covered. I wish I had taken out a policy earlier! I’m going to go broke from vet bills!

Rachel ~ Thanks for the kind words. That’s an interesting story about your grandfather and the Grand Ole Opry! :)

Os ~ Happy V-Day to you too!

Dan ~ Thanks for the kind words! And thanks for accepting the invite! :)
