Long Overdue Weekend with Brico

Brico and I had a great, and very long overdue, weekend together. I got on the road to SC at 6:45 AM on Saturday. I met with my real estate agent at 11:30, and we looked at three terrific houses. I found the one I want! Now I just have to hurry and get a job lined up before someone else buys it! Wish me luck!

Saturday evening was filled with movies. After dinner, we watched Saw III. I was very impressed. I thought it was a great movie, and the best part? They finally explained some of my questions from the first two movies! I highly recommend this movie if you’ve seen the first two. I thought it was much better than Saw II, but my favorite is still the first movie. After watching Saw III, we watched Broken Bridges with Toby Keith. I had seen it before, but Brico hadn’t. It’s a very touching movie, and I think you should all see it. Have plenty of tissues on hand!

On Saturday morning, we picked up Aspen and then had breakfast at the restaurant where her brother works. He was stuck in the back, but he did come out to say hello. I must say – I really like Ed. He’s a good kid who has his head on straight. Knowing what he has been through in his life, I’m even more impressed with how he has turned out. He has gone through some very difficult times.

When we got back to Brico’s place, we broke out the games. Wow, he wasn’t kidding when he mentioned getting lots of new games for us to play! He could open his own game shop! We tried lots of games, but my favorites were Scrabble and Pass the Pigs. I lost big time in Scrabble, but it was still fun. I can’t wait to play again!

I got on the road back to Knoxville early yesterday – around 4:30 PM. I guess it’s a good thing, because I encountered a lot of traffic on I-85. It took me an hour longer than usual to get home! When I got there, I flipped on the tv just in time to see the Colts win the Super Bowl. Congratulations, Peyton!

we just watched Saw III this week too. I love the Saw series because it’s gory yet actually still has a decent plot too, unlike most gory flicks.

    Good luck finding that job.

Good luck with the job search!

I’ve always stayed away from the Saw movies because I have a really hard time watching people get hurt, and that has always been my impression of those. Am I wrong? I used to love scary movies as a kid, but as an adult they really disturb me.

Or maybe I’m just disturbed. *shrug*

I thought you were supposed to find a job before you found a house. You’re brave, girl!!!! I hope the job hunt is twice as easy as the house hunt!
