Blogging From Brico’s

I left Knoxville on Wednesday morning, bound for South Carolina to visit my Brico for the Thanksgiving weekend. Somewhere in North Carolina, I saw the weirdest cloud. It looked like a UFO! Check this out.

When I awoke four hours later - in another state - there was Brico, with gifts in hand. He had been telling me he had a surprise for me. He actually had several surprises. When I opened my gift bag, here’s what I found.

There was a very sweet Thanksgiving card. There was a toothbrush and toothpaste to keep at his place. No longer would I need to take mine back and forth, and seeing my toothbrush at his place would remind Brico that I’d be coming back. There was a photo album with “Tish and Brice” across the front. And there was a key to Brico’s place. Wow, things are getting serious now!

Brico then told me that there was another surprise. I have been planning to move around February, and Brico knew this. He said that he’d love it if I would consider moving closer to him. He said that he understood it would mean leaving a lot behind, but he thought that seeing each other on a more regular basis would be great for our relationship. I agreed. And I said yes. I said that I’d be thrilled to live closer to him, and I’d be more than willing to make the sacrifices that would be involved. You can read Brico’s post about the big news here.

We had a terrific Thanksgiving dinner together - well, except for when Brico set the place on fire! At least we’re both still here to blog about it! But from now on, I’m doing the cooking!

I’ll be here through Sunday, so expect a post about the rest of our weekend adventures soon! I hope you all had a happy Thanksgiving!

Like I said on Brico’s blog, congratulations on taking this big step. And don’t worry about me keeping it secret at work. My rates for bribery include convenient installment plans . . .

Hey Tish I haven’t ever commented here but I do read your blog as well as Brico’s. Congratulations on your big move. Good things to good people are well deserved. But Tish I want to talk to you about the safety of taking pictures while driving on a highway at what 65 or 70 mphs, your multi tasking is wonderful but remember hands on the wheel at all times. But other than that great picture.

Oh hun, I’m so happy for you both. I know how you feel, sort of, I guess. Lori left her tooth brush here a while ago. I’m wondering why she left the fold up travel kind, but I’ll take what I can get.
