As most of you know, I don’t get a lot of sleep. Just look at my blog. Most of my posts are created late at night. I’m a night owl - always have been. I normally stay up until 2 or 3 AM, and sometimes later. Oddly enough, when I’m with Brico, I enjoy going to bed at an early hour. He normally goes to bed around 10 or 11 PM, and when I’m with him, so do I. And I love it. But when I’m alone and bored, I just can’t make myself go to bed.
As you know, I’ve been sick for the past week. During most of that time, I’ve gotten even less sleep than usual. I’ve had a terrible cough that has kept me awake. At times I wondered if I’d die from lack of oxygen. Don’t you just hate those long coughing fits where you can’t get a breath?
I’ve been taking my prescribed meds since yesterday, and I can already feel a major improvement in my condition. I’m still sick, but the coughing fits are less frequent. I can breathe through my nose from time to time. And I only took one bath on Saturday!
I guess the lack of sleep over the last week finally caught up with me. Brico and I have a strange phone habit. On Mondays - Fridays, I call him around 7:30 AM on my way to work. On Saturdays, he calls me around 7:30 on his way to work. I don’t work on Saturdays, so I’m usually in bed when he calls. I always look forward to those calls. He called on his way to work Saturday, and we talked for a while. I was prepared to get out of bed afterward, but he insisted that I stay in bed since I was sick. I did. I fell asleep and woke up at 1 PM! What the hell? I had wasted half the day!
Now, as if that wasn’t bad enough, guess what I did on Saturday night? You guessed it. I fell asleep at an early hour. I woke briefly when Brico called to say goodnight - yet another one of our “strange” phone habits. I slept a while longer and then woke back up in the middle of the night, and here I am - wide awake. I really should go back to bed and try to get my sleep schedule back on track, but I’m not sure I can. I am wide awake!
I guess this is a good sign though. I’m caught up on my sleep, and I’m feeling a hundred times better than I did just a couple of days ago!

So glad you’re feeling better… your body obviously needed the rest.
Maybe you go to bed earlier with Brico because there’s a REASON to get in there!

sadly, there is NO reason for her get in bed with me. well, at least theres no reason for her to STAY in bed for more than 5 minutes anyway.

Sorry to hear that you’re sick, hope you get better soon! I’m a night owl too, I hate going to bed early, but I have to since if I get less than 8 hours sleep I’m a zombie. My work schedule does not fit with my natural sleep schedule at all.
