Bits and Pieces

I’ve had a sore throat all day. I really hope I’m not getting sick again. It took me weeks to get over it the last time.

I’m on my third swim instructor. I really like this lady. Yesterday was my third lesson with her. During the first lesson, I swam across the pool with a noodle wrapped under my arms. During the second lesson, I used a kickboard. The third lesson was with no flotation devices whatsoever. I was able to swim for a while, but then I got freaked out and put my put my feet on the bottom of the pool. We did this time after time, and every single time, I did the same thing! I’m going to have to get lots of practice this week since I have another lesson in a few days. I have to get over this fear of mine. We are also working on my breathing technique, which is not going as well as I’d hoped. You wouldn’t think it would be so hard to learn how to come up for air and go right back into the water.

Clerks II comes out on November 28th. I preordered copies for Brico and I - autographed by Kevin Smith! He won’t sign them until they have been officially released, so hopefully it won’t take too much longer after that to receive them.

I bought a set of Chinese Fortune Sticks. These things are awesome, except for when they scare me. It really sucks to get a bad fortune and be worried about it all day. For those of you not familiar with the fortune sticks, you use them daily. You make a wish and then shake the box until one stick protrudes further than the rest. That stick is the indicator of your future. You then look at the number on the stick and look it up in the handy dandy Chinese Fortune Stick translation book. It tells your fortune for the day and whether or not your wish will come true. I made a wish this morning - that a certain thing would happen within the next year. According to the sticks, I will “get my wish, maybe very soon.” Interesting. And don’t bother asking, Brico. I never divulge my wishes!

I’ve been working on school stuff all day long. Ugh! I swear, I don’t think I’ll ever be caught up. I’m so burned out on these classes. I have only two more semesters to finish my degree, but I am seriously considering taking next semester off. I just don’t have any drive left.

I created a Yahoo! 360 page a while back, and I can’t figure out how to delete the darn thing! I made the profile contents invisible, but I keep getting friend requests. I don’t want that 360 page. Somebody please help me delete it!

I finished watching Felicity: Season 1 and House: Season 2. Bring on Season 2 of Felicity! I love Netflix.

Speaking of love, I love Brico. Just wanted to make it public knowledge - not that it wasn’t already.
