I got on the road to SC after work on Friday, and it was pouring down rain. It rained during my entire drive - so hard at times that I couldn’t see a thing! It took me about an hour longer than usual to get to Brico’s place. By the time I got there (around 11:15 PM), I was exhausted! We were both asleep in no time!
On Saturday, Brico had to work as usual. I drove around and explored the area. I even discovered a Best Buy - my favorite store! On Saturday night, we watched the Tennessee game, followed by Finding Neverland. By the time the movie ended, it was about 2 AM, and Brico insisted on scaring me to death with true ghost stories on A&E! I have no idea what had gotten into him; he’s usually asleep by 10!
On Sunday, Brico, Aspen, and I went for a walk around the lake, a stroll through the local horse farm, and out to lunch. Afterward, Ed (Aspen’s teenage brother) came over, and we all watched the Broncos game. I hit the road back to K-Town before the game ended, but Brico tells me that his Broncos lost. Sorry, babe!
I’ll be seeing Brico again in a week and a half, when we go to Atlanta to see The Barenaked Ladies in concert!
