I’ll be attending my first Knox Bloggers meeting on Wednesday. This month’s meeting will cover setting up a blog for the first time. We will be taking a look at Wordpress and Blogger, as well as looking at two blog editors - Flock and Windows Live Writer.
In anticipation of this meeting, I decided to go ahead and give these editors a try. I’m composing this very post in Windows Live Writer! I’ve only been using it for a few minutes, but my initial impression is good. Live Writer is just like word processing software! It’s much more user friendly than Blogger, where I normally compose my posts, and there are many more options available. You can compose your post in Live Writer and then publish it directly to your blog! I am anxious to see how this posts looks once I publish it.
Okay, okay, I’m discovering that maybe Live Writer isn’t perfect. After all, I have been inserting photos, but when I hit the “publish” button, I get a message that Blogger cannot accept image uploads. I’m sure I just need to reconfigure my settings. Maybe I’ll figure out how in the meeting on Wednesday! 
I’m such a geek.
