I had another wonderful weekend with Brico. Saturday evening was made up of alone time, dinner, and an attempt at watching Cinderella Man. Brico fell asleep a good two minutes into the movie, so I decided that we’d watch it the next day. Since Brico is such a big fan of Russell Crowe, I didn’t want him to miss even a second!
On Sunday, after watching Cinderella Man, we picked up Aspen and went out on the boat. I laughed harder than I’ve laughed in a long time. She got out on the tube, and as Brico hauled ass around the lake, she attempted stunts - in particularly, standing up on the tube with her hands in the air. I said to Brico, “It’s only a matter of time until she falls off.” No sooner than the words had left my mouth, splash! It was hilarious! She was wearing a life jacket, of course, and she can swim like a dolphin, so I wasn’t a bit worried. In fact, Aspen thought it was fun! She couldn’t wait to fall off again! Now if only I could get to that point! I refused to get on the tube this time. If you recall, Brico tried to knock me off last time!
On Sunday evening we watched The Lion King 1 1/2. I love The Lion King movies! Once Aspen went to bed, I made Brico sit through an episode (the season finale to be exact!) of Rescue Me.
Brico had to work today, but I didn’t. And since he practically begged me to stay the night last night, I did. I left for Knoxville as he was leaving for work this morning. Before getting out of South Carolina, I stopped and bought some of their famous peaches. I also bought some peach butter. I haven’t tried either yet, but I’ll give ya the scoop once I do!

You will never taste anything as good as a South Carolina peach. Seriously. I have traveled all over the country trying to find one that doesn’t disgust me after being spoiled on SC peaches.

Sounds like a great holiday weekend… hopefully the weather in the south stays warm for a while and you can continue your boating adventures.
As for SC peaches… I had only heard of the famous GA peaches, but now, I’m schooled.

Gabby ~ You should see how much gas he’s putting in the boat! Not to mention, he does *everything* for me when I’m there. He’s an awesome boyfriend.
Dale ~ Maybe you have a point. Judging from the comment Brico just left on this post, he doesn’t want me living anywhere in the SC/NC vicinity. Do you have a problem with me moving to Colorado?

what does RED mean that shes not wanted in NC???
TISH will find that around dale shes going to ‘prefer’ that he keep smoking. its the only thing that will detract from the compost pile odors in the house.
