Since nothing very exciting happened this day, I will just post a happy thought.
The cardinal is my favorite bird. Whenever I see one, I smile, and I stop to watch it. In fact, I think I have some strange connection with cardinals. I see them everywhere I go. I could go all day without seeing a bird (other than the ones my friends give me) and it’s a sure bet that when I do decide to look out a window, a cardinal will be the first bird I see. They are absolutely stunning!

Oh, and yes, cardinals ARE stunning, sadly we don’t have them out here on my Island. When I lived in PA I say them all the time and was also always brought to smiles.

i love cardinals too! when i was in grade school, maybe grade 2, we did a ‘birds of winter’ project thing and i think of it whenever i see a cardinal, blue jay, chickadee or white breasted nuthatch.
goldfinches are my fav tho.

We had tons of cardinals in KC when I was growing up, but I never see one in the Carolinas.
In fact my dad named his little fledgling airline Cardinal Air.

i have a pair in my back year that I can sit and watch all day long. Good stuff Tish. Oh and by the way, My tag is up. C’mon down soulmate! Got a frontrow seat saved for ya!

Cardinals are my favorite birds, too, right up there with the oriole. You might see an oriole here in E. Tennessee every once in a while, but not very often. I see cardinals all the time and love’em.
