- I have been a vegetarian now for almost seven weeks! Three people have mentioned that they have noticed my weight loss. I’ve averaged losing about a pound per week.
- Sean Michael Currier, a Christian singer on my MySpace friend list, left a comment wishing me a happy birthday last month. He asked for my address and offered to send a free CD. I got a letter and two CDs from him just a few days ago. He is from the Knoxville area and plays a lot of shows here as well as all around the country. He said that I’ll be the first to know when he schedules another Knoxville show. I’m looking forward to seeing him live. Check out the tunes on his MySpace page. Awesome stuff!
- I’ll be meeting Brico’s mother next weekend. Wish me luck. I haven’t met a guy’s parents since 1999 when I met my ex-boyfriend Chris’ parents. I’m now officially nervous.
- One of my dogs has been sick for the last couple of days. I am taking her to the vet tomorrow morning at 10:45. Hopefully everything will turn out okay.
- Jake’s baby, Aiden, is due on August 5th. Rebekah is hoping he arrives much sooner.

Great job on stickin to the no dead meat!!! Its been >26 yrs for me …and I dont miss it one bit….as for meeting Bmans mom….take a tape recorder so you can get those precious stories of him as a little one recorded for posterity sake….Its hard to remember later when you want because of the uncontrollable laughter during the conversation!…..U’ll be fine….its actually quite the compliment any guy can give when he wants you to meet his parents!

Dr. ~ Wow. 26 years??! I hope I can say that one day! Thanks for the support in meeting B’s mom. And I guess I hadn’t thought about it that way, but it really is quite the compliment! I’ve only met two boyfriends’ parents in my life. One of the guys turned out to be my now ex-husband. The other was a guy I was seriously involved with shortly after my divorce. We split up in 2000. I haven’t had to meet a guy’s parents since! I’ll take your advice on the tape recorder! Maybe one of those embarrassing childhood stories can make it to my blog via an audio post!

My sister is a vegetarian. For about 9 years now. I don’t eat tons of meat myself, but I would miss it if I gave it up completely!

DOC, yep. it IS a compliment. if i were telling her ’sweety, whatever you do, do NOT try to come down for a surprise visit next weekend!’ then there would be cause for concern. but as it is, im pretty much having to drag her down here this weekend.
