Friday’s Feast #102

Feast One Hundred & Two - Friday, July 14, 2006

Appetizer - Name one thing nice that you could do for someone else today. I could let someone step in front of me in the grocery store line.

Soup - When was the last time you were frightened by the weather? I can’t recall. It’s not often that I’m frightened by the weather. I love storms provided that I don’t have to drive during them.

Salad - What would you say is the most useful website or blog that you visit? My bank’s website. I haven’t had to buy a stamp for bills in more than a year! I pay everything online!

Main Course - Who was your favorite singer/group when you were a child? The Monkees.

Dessert - Do you have any rituals? If so, what are they? I go to my parents’ house every Christmas, we open our gifts, and we have dinner. And don’t laugh at this, but Santa leaves me a Christmas stocking full of goodies at my parents’ house every year!

I credit the Monkees for starting my musical career. Mom bought me the sheet music to “Pleasant Valley Sunday” to play on trumpet (band geek showing here?). Mom suggested I grow my hair long like Davy Jones (big mistake there!). I collected two complete sets of different Monkees’ cards. You are my hero!

My favorite Monkees song was “Randy Scouse Git”. How’s that for Monkees geekiness?
