Another weekend with Brico has come and gone.
I left for Charlotte around 1:15 PM on Friday. As I crossed the North Carolina border about an hour later, I got hit with terrible thunderstorms. They followed me all the way to Charlotte. It ended up taking me an hour longer than usual to get there since traffic was crawling along, and at times, sitting completely still.
When I got into Charlotte, I met Brico at Thomas Street Tavern. Mike arrived shortly afterward. After hanging out for a couple of hours and eating dinner, we went to Mike’s house, where I played with his cat and watched the boys play darts. Once we got back to Brico’s place in South Carolina, we had a very romantic night in front of the fireplace. Brico is the only guy I know who can make a late June evening in front of a fire a good thing!
On Saturday evening, Brico and I had a nice long talk, and then we went to the pool for my first swimming lesson. It wasn’t a pretty sight, folks. At one point while losing my balance and getting dunked underwater, I panicked and started grabbing for Brico. I left a nasty scratch across his chest. It was still a fun evening though – at least for me. Brico may need to consider whether or not there will be a second lesson.
We gave the snoring remedies a try on Saturday night. The throat spray came with some samples of the nasal strips. I tried the throat spray; Brico opted for the nasal strip. I didn’t snore a bit. At this point, however, I am not completely convinced that the throat spray is effective. My lack of snoring could have been due to the fact that I didn’t get a wink of sleep – because Brico snored all night long! So much for the nasal strips!
Sunday was another fun day on the boat. In attendance were me, Brico, Mike, Mike’s girlfriend Emily, and Kiffin, who is a friend of Brico, Mike, and Emily. Mike and Kiffin water skied. Maybe I’ll give it a try once Brico teaches me to swim.
Sadly, I left South Carolina around 7:30 PM yesterday, and arrived back in Knoxville around 11:45 PM. If I had been able, I would have gladly spent a few more days with Brico. No matter what we’re doing, I always have such a wonderful time with him. I can’t wait to see him again!
Oh, and you might recall Brico’s recent post in which he stated that it was near impossible to do anything to irk me. He admitted that he had been putting an unbelievable amount of effort into trying to do so. Stay tuned for the list of surprises that were waiting for me when I visited him this weekend. After reading it, you’ll have a newfound appreciation for my patience. Dealing with Brico is a tough job, but somebody has to do it!

this seems like a fairly accurate description, although you left out that one part about the infected thingy. sorry about that.

Oh! Oh! Oh! Can I give him some tips? I only know about a dozen things that irk you!
Brico, try this one: At any given moment, yell ‘Batboy!’ Trust me.
