Pop Art Portrait 1 of 5

The June theme for Self Portrait Challenge is “Pop Art.”

Pop Art was a visual artistic movement that emerged in the United States and England in the late 1950s. It was characterized by themes and techniques drawn from mass culture such as advertising and comic books. Pop Art is widely interpreted as a reaction to the then-dominant ideas of abstract expressionism or an expansion upon them. Andy Warhol is perhaps the most widely known Pop Artist.

Without further ado, here is my first Pop Art portrait.

Take the Self Portrait Challenge.
