Weekend With Brico

Around 12:30 PM on Saturday, I set out for a “four-hour drive” to meet Brico. Approximately six hours later, after some minor navigational issues, I finally met him. He was every bit as wonderful as I knew he would be. This message was waiting for me on his refrigerator.

I was exhausted after my drive, so we spent the rest of the evening just lounging around.

We got up bright and early Sunday morning for The Sea Weeder’s maiden voyage. The infamous Miguel was also in attendance. He and Brico had a lot of fun splashing around in the water while I took photos and caught some rays.

Speaking of catching some rays, I should have listened to Brico when he told me that I should put on some sunscreen. I’m now sporting a lovely shade of red on my face, arms, and legs!

And since we’re talking about my weekend battle scars, this would be the perfect time to mention Brico’s mystery bruise.

The remainder of Sunday and Monday were spent watching movies and just enjoying each other’s company. And of course, there was a six hour trip back to Knoxville, accomplished with the navigational assistance of Brico, Kevin, and Osbasso! Thanks, guys! And a very special thank you to Brico for the absolutely spectacular weekend. Can’t wait to do it again!

*Be sure to check Brico’s blog for his perspective on the weekend.*

Were you running around Brico’s half-nekkid like you do at home??

I wanted to see the sunburned legs!

  2. Yeah, him. Says:

Great photos… glad to hear you had such a great weekend… I’m jealous and living vicariously, but I can imagine if it was hot as an oven up here, it had to be about 10 degrees warmer in TN!!

i would like to add that the reason i was simply tubing while miguel was waterskiing was not because i cant waterski but because miguel has not had sufficient time to learn the finer aspects of keeping the sea weeder from stalling out in idle. since towing a waterskier requires the boat to go into idle frequently, only i was skilled enough at the helm to keep her running while setting up for a ski run. i had to settle for playing in the tube while miguel learned the controls a bit more. pics of me skiing will come in the future i assure you! and notice the NO HANDS! that takes skill baby!

Dan ~ Thanks! Glad you liked the photos! I was actually in SC, and it was even hotter than it was in TN! It was 98 when we were out on the boat!

David ~ Thank you! I like you too!

Brico ~ Can I call bullshit?
