Ouch!

My entire body aches like you wouldn’t believe! The reason? I took my first bellydancing class tonight!

I picked up a schedule of classes at the gym the other day. I figured it would be a terrific way to have fun while getting in shape. The bellydancing class immediately caught my attention, as did Tai Chi.

The class was a lot of fun. We wore hip scarves and danced to Middle Eastern music. The moves were so seductive. I was a step behind everyone else since it was my first class, but it was still fun! It was a whole body workout - hips, pelvis, abs, shoulders, legs, butt, and judging from my aches and pains, a few body parts that I wasn’t even aware I had!

I’ll be making Bellydancing a regular part of my Wednesday evening routine, so stay tuned for more details! And once I actually know what I’m doing, I may post a video clip for you to see!

I’ll begin Tai Chi on Saturday morning! Wish me luck!

My exercise regime is right out of the window right now…simply too busy with the move now to think of anything else…hopefully all my nervous energy will keep my weight down!

Good luck with the lessons though - sounds like fun!

I’m not sure if you saw it, but I bequeathed you “R” for the letter meme by the way!

I’ll take a copy of that DVD also! Of course you have to fill the whole thing up with your belly dancing, not just random people! Have fun with the Tai Chi class!

Tish, I think that’s great! A friend of mine use to belong to a belly dance troupe but has moved to the NJ area. Check out Kamotion on my blogroll… she may be good a a couple of pointers.
