Interesting Meme

I found this meme on Gabby’s blog, and he assigned me the letter R.

This is how it works: Comment on this entry and I will give you a letter. Write ten words beginning with that letter in your journal, including an explanation of what the word means to you and why, and then pass out letters to those who want to play along.

  1. Religion - I’m a Christian, and more specifically, a Lutheran. We follow the teachings of Martin Luther, whose views inspired the Protestant Reformation.
  2. Reptile - With the exception of snakes, I love reptiles. I think lizards and iguanas are such fascinating creatures.
  3. Recessive - I have the recessive trait of attached earlobes. If you’re not familiar with what I’m talking about, check out this link for a photograph. There’s even a nice little science lesson for those of you who didn’t pay attention in science class.
  4. Reformation - The 16th Century political and religious movement in which the Protestant Church separated from the Roman Catholic Church. Being a Lutheran, this is a very important part of history for me. It was Martin Luther’s 95 Theses that started The Reformation.
  5. Retrospect - In retrospect, I wish I had never gotten married. That was five years of my life that I’ll never be able to reclaim.
  6. Relationship - To date, I have been unsuccessful in the area of relationships. I hope to change that sometime in the not so distant future.
  7. Root Beer - Gabby requested that I post “Root Beer”. As you all know by now, I absolutely *love* A&W Root Beer. It is heavenly!
  8. Recycle - I completely support recycling. I make a habit of recycling plastic, newspaper, aluminum, and glass.
  9. Romance - I am a lover of all things romantic. Unfortunately, my life has long been lacking in the romance area, but I have high hopes that this is changing.
  10. Retroflex - I have a retroflex uterus. That means that instead of being an upright position, my uterus is tilted toward the back of the pelvis. This condition sometimes causes difficulty in conceiving, and if the uterus does not move into an upright position during pregnancy, miscarriage can occur.

If any of you are interested in playing along, let me know so that I can give you a letter!
