The Self Portrait Challenge theme for May is “Introduce Yourself.” Along with our self portrait, we are supposed to tell a bit about ourselves. Throughout the month, you’ll find out lots about me, but this week I’ll start with the basics.

My name is Tish, and I live in Knoxville, Tennessee. I’ll be 34 years old on June 29th. I often get asked about my nationality. No, I’m not Italian, Egyptian, Eskimo, or Greek. I am 1/4 Cherokee, and in this region, practically everyone has some Cherokee heritage. So just why is that I’m the only one getting asked about my nationality? Enquiring minds want to know.

I am the oldest of four siblings, and oddly enough, the only one who is still single. I work in Human Resources Management, and I am nearing completion of my degree in Organizational Leadership. My hobbies and interests include music, movies, reading, weight training, photography, religion, and theatre. My favorite color is lime green. My favorite food is potatoes.

As some of you may have noticed, Self Portrait Challenge was previously referred to as Self Portrait Tuesday. The name change has brought about some other changes as well. There is an incredible new website, and each participant is able to upload a link to their portrait each week. Photos need not be posted on Tuesday; they can be posted anytime during the week.
