The doctor appointment yesterday didn’t go well. The med combo that I had been taking for the past three weeks didn’t do anything to improve my intraocular pressure. Back to square one! I’ll continue to take the Xalatan that I’ve been taking for the past couple of years, and I’ll replace the Betimol with Azopt. I’ll use the Xalatan in both eyes every night before bedtime and the Azopt every 12 hours in only my right eye. I’ll go back to see my doctor on March 22nd. Hopefully there will be a noticeable improvement in the right eye pressure by that time. There is always some crossover effect, so if the med works in the right eye, it should also decrease the pressure in my left eye, but to a much lesser degree.
I really don’t like this new med. The eye drops are usually about the consistency of water. I used the Azopt for the first time this morning. It felt like I was dropping molasses in my eye!

Sorry to hear it didn’t go well. I love how doctors don’t seem to know what meds work with other meds. My dad gets his switched on a regular basis for his heart. They still don’t know how things are going to work. Hope this new round shows promise!

Eugh! I can’t imagine having to take so many meds for something.
It’s bad enough trying to remember to take a one a day vitamin pill!

I am really praying for you that the new/old combination works out Tish. I have not been as bloggy in the paswt several weeks as I should have been and have miised a few things in your life. Sorry about OBF and the funk you have been in. Just keep that beautiful chin up and it will eventually work out. It may take minutes, hours, days, months, years or possibly even decades, but it will work out. Again I am praying for you. Love ya doll.

I am sorry to hear about the new meds not working. Did he ever mention a perscription for marijuana?
