As most of you know, I am absolutely crazy about A&W Root Beer. My newfound eating habits (damn diet food!) don’t allow for the real thing, but I recently discovered Diet A&W Root Beer. Awesome stuff! I’m in heaven when I drink it.
As I was doing the grocery shopping tonight, I made a stop by the soda aisle to stock up on A&W. I got my A&W and then spotted IBC Diet Root Beer. Surprisingly, I’ve never tried it, so I picked up a six pack of that as well.
So here I sit, IBC Diet Root Beer in hand. I love the dark beer bottle look, but this stuff can’t hold a candle to A&W.

Tish, Tish, Tish–if there’s questions about this sort of thing, don’t be afraid to ask! There is NOTHING as good as A&W Root Beer, unless it’s A&W Root Beer from their 1-gallon jugs! Actually, Henry Weinhard’s (in Portland) makes a good one, but just not quite as good…

Coca Cola versus Panda Cola…
Panda what?

Come on Tish! Get with the programme!

When I lived in Knoxville I used to drink IBC by the boat load. Mainly ’cause it was cheap. Try half IBC and half Vodka, that always worked for me.

up here it’s Dr. Brown’s or Stewart’s either or in cream soda. I don’t even think we can get IBC.

I like regular IBC. Haven’t tried the diet though.
Have you tried Barque’s? It’s pretty decent. Not sure if they make a diet though.

Not much can hold a candle to A&W.
