Nothing too exciting going on in my life at the moment, but I’m hopeful with the new year approaching. Out with the old, in with the new!

My brother Jake recently found out that his girlfriend is pregnant. They are planning to get married in February. I never thought I’d see the day when he’d be happy about such a thing, but he is, so I’m happy for him! In a way, I feel like I’m losing a best friend. That’s exactly what Jake and I are, and I know that with a soon-to-be wife and a baby on the way, he isn’t going to have nearly as much time to hang out. Gone are the days of watching movies and eating Hungry Howie’s pizza. But then again, the pizza is gone for me anyway, thanks to the new diet. Jake has been telling everyone his big news, but he hasn’t blogged it yet, just because he hasn’t had much spare time lately. So I’m blogging in his absence! Feel free to drop some comments on his page.

I’m ready to go see my friend Jonathan sing again. He sings nearly every Wednesday night at a really cool, laid-back bar here in town. For some weird reason, I don’t think he will be there this Wednesday, but he will be back next Wednesday. Any local bloggers (or lurkers) who are interested, are welcome to join me. Os has just announced that he wants us to post our favorite past HNT photo (of ourselves!) for this week’s post. You should also post a brief explanation of why it’s your favorite. For those of you who read my blog but don’t read his (you know who you are), you’ve officially been notified! I plan on posting my favorite old pic plus a new one on Thursday. And I have to come up with something good. Brico’s wellbeing depends on it! He was sorely disappointed in my post last week. I promise to do better this time, Brico! Oh, and if anyone has any ideas for my photo, let me know!
