My brother Jake and I view A&W as the best thing since sliced bread. There’s not one in Knoxville, but whenever we’re in the Sevierville area, we always make sure to stop and get a burger, fries, and a big frosty mug of root beer.
We went to Dollywood today, so on the way, we decided to stop by the A&W for lunch. It was an experience I’ll remember for the rest of my life. Heavenly. And so you’ll understand just how much we enjoyed our food and drink, we have captured those beautiful A&W moments.

You’d think that would be enough A&W for a while, but no. On the way home from Dollywood, we had to stop by A&W again to get root beers for the road! Check it out…

Awesome! Now that’s what having a blog is all about. The pics of each other eating were pretty cool, but the picture of the tray of food really sealed it.
And I promise I’m not being sarcastic. On a day filled with smiles, your post kept me grinning just a little bit longer.

I really like that you like to hang out with your brother. That’s a great relationship. I spend time with my sisters, but they’re married and have kids, etc. I never had the “road trip”-type of relationship with them. I envy you.
I like the A&W pics. No one makes root beer or onion rings like A&W. Around here, most of them are combined with KFC, so if you’re really a fast food junky, it’s really convenient!
Last–I like these pics because they’re more at eye level, rather than your standard HNT, arm up above type of shot (though there’s not a bad one of you yet!).

Tish, I love these pics. There is an honest candor about them that is really quite refreshing. It created smiles. Thanks for sharing.

O’boy did this bring me back. When I was a wee pre-teen lad growing up in Florida, my friend Robert and I rode our bikes to the A&W drive in. You know the kind, with real car hops and all. I can still taste the best root beer anywhere, always served in a frosty mug. Then if we could afford a root beer float? OMG, we were in heaven.
Thanks for the memories. :-))

Unfortunately, I hate root beer so the charm of that place is lost on me every time we pass by…

We have an A&W right close to my house in Smyran..and if that ain’t a reason to move here, I don’t know what is…
